Our patient portal is an important way to communicate with our office. Routine administrative messages are not charged. However, some portal messages require individualized clinical review and medical decision-making by your clinician and are considered clinical care.
Portal messages are reviewed by our office staff, generally within one business day. Staff will confirm receipt, respond when appropriate, and forward clinical concerns to your clinician when direct review is needed.
The portal is not intended for urgent concerns, emergencies, lengthy consultations, multiple clinical concerns, or ongoing back-and-forth communication. Depending on the nature of your question, we may recommend a brief visit or a regular follow-up appointment.
There is no charge for:
Questions within 7 days of a visit that relate to the issues addressed during that visit are generally included as part of your care and are not charged separately.
If your message requires your clinician to review your medical record, provide individualized medical advice, make or change a treatment plan, or prescribe a new medication, our staff will let you know before any charge is incurred.
Questions involving multiple concerns, significant changes in symptoms, or issues requiring more extensive evaluation may require a regular follow-up appointment.
We make every effort to keep brief appointments available so concerns that cannot appropriately be handled through messaging can be addressed promptly.
The patient portal should not be used for emergencies or concerns requiring immediate attention.
If you believe your concern is urgent, please indicate this clearly in your message or call our office directly at (339) 243-8429.
For a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency medical care.
We will always obtain your permission before providing a service for which you will be charged. You will never be charged simply for sending us a portal message.
When appropriate, we will submit eligible services to your insurance on your behalf. Insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed, and patients are responsible for any balance not covered by insurance.
